Over 144 kilometres, the route from Zermatt via Visp, Brig and Andermatt to Disentis takes you through breathtaking scenery and impressive differences in altitude totalling 3,300 metres. On this spectacular journey, you can look forward to 44 stations, 170 bridges, 60 tunnels and galleries, including the impressive 15.4-kilometre Furka Tunnel.
With the highest point on the Oberalp Pass at 2,033 metres and the lowest point in Visp at just 651 metres, the route offers unique views and experiences. On 31.1 kilometres of cogwheel track, you master one of the steepest sections of railway in Europe with a maximum gradient of 18,1% between Göschenen and Andermatt. Highlights such as the 176-metre-long Rhone Bridge and the 48-metre-high Grengiols Viaduct make this trip an unforgettable adventure in the heart of the Swiss Alps.
