All about our services during your journey with the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway

At the stations in Zermatt, Täsch, Fiesch and Andermatt you will find left-luggage lockers in different sizes. Prices vary between CHF 5.00 and 13.00 depending on the size.

Baggage that cannot be stored in the lockers can be deposited in the baggage hall in Zermatt and Andermatt during opening hours for a fee.

The Matterhorn Gotthard Railway is connected to the SBB lost property service. If you have left something on a train you can start an enquiry for the missing object on the internet free of charge or with a paid telephone call to 0848 44 66 88.

Passengers’ rights

Swiss public transport usually runs very reliably and is of a high standard. Nevertheless, unexpected circumstances can occur and delays cannot always be avoided. Since 2021 travellers will receive compensation if they reach their destination 60 minutes or more later than scheduled. Compensation can be requested throughout Switzerland on: https://www.swisspass.ch/passenger-rights. Should you find yourself in such a situation you can complete the necessary form on the website above.

Refunds

If you would like to apply for a refund for an unused or only partly used travel document please send an email to our customer services.

• Give the reason for your application for a refund

• Document the reason, if possible with proof, e.g. a doctor’s certificate

• Send the supporting documents from the tickets as a scan or photo
