Information and tips for travellers

The MGBahn apologises to travellers for any inconveniences and delays that might occur as a result of this service. The buses used for this rail replacement service will operate to the times of the train timetable. At the bus stops concerned, placards will provide information about rail service interruptions, the replacement bus services and the departure points for buses. Due to unpredictable road traffic conditions, it will not be possible to guarantee adherence to the timetable, nor to connections at all times. It is therefore recommended that all travellers – especially those returning from Zermatt – make sufficient time allowances for their journey, or use an earlier connection. In order to transport the high passenger numbers on the route between Visp and Zermatt, up to six replacement buses will be used for individual trains.

Current timetable information including MGBahn connections can be found on the SBB's online timetable (www.sbb.ch/de/fahrplan).
