144 kilometres through the Alps

The Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn travels through the most beautiful regions of the Swiss Alps. It leads from Zermatt in the canton of Valais via Andermatt in the canton of Uri to Disentis in the Grisons. With the stretch from Andermatt to Göschenen, the entire route network measures 144 kilometres.

Due to weather damage, the railway line between Visp and Täsch is interrupted. Replacement buses are operating according to the schedule. Please allow for extra travel time. Continuous train service is expected to resume no earlier than August 26. You can find all connections on www.sbb.ch.
